Eligibility for these scholarships:
About Face Scholarship
Two (2) @ $1,000 non-renewable scholarships available to students who
show great improvement in academics and attitude with preference given
to students who have raised their cumulative grade point average at least
one full
point from the end of their second semester work to the end of their seventh
semester work.
A minimum grade point average of 2.0 for seven semesters of work is necessary
for qualification.
Academic Achievement Scholarship
Non-renewable scholarships of $500. This stipend would be for all students
who have not received another school-related scholarship, a value greater
than or equal to $500, via the selection process by the high school scholarship
committee.
- Earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above
after seven semesters
Academic Excellence Scholarship
Two (2) four-year renewable scholarships of $1,000 each.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Worthy citizen
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
Attitude, Aptitude, Achievement Award
One (1) non-renewable scholarship of $500. A Special Education student
is nominated for this award.
Excellence in Education
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
Excellence in Education/Arts
Scholarship
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
- Future educational plans to pursue education in the
arts
Excellence in Education/Scholar-Athlete
Scholarship
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
- Participated in a minimum of two (2) sports during
each year of the last three years of high school
- No athletic suspensions during their high school
career
Excellence in Education/Vocational
Area Scholarship
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
- Completion of a minimum of eight (8) credits in the
vocational area
- Future educational plans to pursue vocational interest
Fremont Graduating Class Scholarship
Non-renewable scholarships. $2,000 is
available.
- Minimum grade point average of 2.5
- Demonstrated leadership skills and community service
activities
- Has not received other Fremont Public Schools scholarships
- Attended Fremont Public Schools their junior and
senior years
Charles Gerber Scholarship
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont
- Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
Gussie Gerber Scholarship
One (1) four-year renewable scholarship of $1,000. This
scholarship is not available to students pursuing a medical related field.
- Citizen of the United States
- Graduating senior of Fremont High School or future
graduate of Fremont Schools within six months from the date of making
application for this scholarship
- Excellent grade point average
- Plan to attend a four-year institution
Jason Horvath Scholarship
One (1) non-renewable scholarship of
$1,000.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.5
- High values and good morals
- Desire to work hard and be successful
- Positively contributed at Fremont High School
Quest Scholarship
Two (2) non-renewable scholarships of
$750 each. Applicants may be
asked to participate in an interview.
- Available to students attending Quest School
- Being a high school senior and accepted by a college
before money is distributed
- Submission of a senior page and transcript with application
- Show improvement in their GPA from time of enrollment
to graduation
- Submission of written essay describing future goals,
a summary of school and community involvement, a plan for financing
education, and what qualities they feel they possess that will allow
them to be successful in their future goals utilizing this award
Mildred/Don Vanderwerp Scholarship
Two (2) non-renewable scholarships of $1,000
each
- Grade point average of 3.5 or above
- Pursuing future educational goals in the area of
political science or teaching
- High moral character
